Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Refund eligibility is determined by when the cancellation request is submitted in relation to the reservation's scheduled check-in date.

24-hour booking grace period

Guests may cancel within 24 hours after completing their reservation and receive a refund of the booking amount, minus any non-refundable payment-processing fees charged in connection with the transaction.

These processing fees are typically approximately 2–5% of the payment but may vary depending on the payment method and the actual fees charged.

The 24-hour grace period overrides the standard cancellation schedule below, provided the cancellation request is received before the reservation's scheduled check-in time. Once the stay has begun, the grace period no longer applies.

Standard cancellation schedule

After the 24-hour grace period:

  • Two calendar months or more before check-in: 100% refund of the refundable booking amount.
  • At least one calendar month, but less than two calendar months, before check-in: 50% refund of the refundable booking amount.
  • Less than one calendar month before check-in: No refund.

Any non-refundable payment-processing fees may be deducted from an otherwise eligible refund.

How calendar months are calculated

The cancellation deadlines are based on calendar months, not a fixed number of days.

The one-month deadline is the calendar date one month before the scheduled check-in date. The two-month deadline is the calendar date two months before the scheduled check-in date.

For example, for a September 15 check-in:

  • Cancellation on or before July 15 qualifies for the 100% refund tier.
  • Cancellation after July 15 but on or before August 15 qualifies for the 50% refund tier.
  • Cancellation after August 15 does not qualify for a refund.

If the corresponding date does not exist in the earlier month, use the final calendar day of that month. For example, one calendar month before March 31 is the final day of February.

A cancellation submitted exactly on a cutoff date qualifies for the more favorable refund tier.

Cancellation timing

Cancellation timing is based on when the cancellation request is received, using Atlantic Standard Time in Puerto Rico.

A reservation is not considered canceled until the request has been successfully submitted and acknowledged.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. The time required for a refund to appear depends on the guest's bank, card issuer, and payment method.

Processing fees

Stripe or another payment processor may retain some or all of the original transaction-processing fees when a payment is refunded. Any actual non-refundable processing fees may be deducted from the guest's refund.

The amount deducted must be based on the actual non-refundable processing costs associated with that reservation, not an arbitrary percentage.
